Executive Chef Barry Layne has been in the food business 20 of his 35 years. Working with talented chefs along the way such as Claude Koberle of JC Resorts, David Daniels at the Ventana Inn, and Alex Lombardo known for Dragos in Santa Monica, Barry Layne has always pushed to work with great establishments and exceptional talent.

Chef Barry Layne's experience includes: The 150 Grand in Escondido, Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula, Jose Eber Salon Café in Beverly Hills, Planet Earth Foods in Santa Monica, the Ventana Inn in Big Sur, and Delicias in Rancho Santa Fe.

More recently, Barry Layne was Executive Chef for Delicias Restaurant located in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe, for over nine years. Delicias has been continuously rated one of Zagat's top ten Southern California Restaurants, has won countless Wine Spectator Awards and has been the subject of numerous editorial features and accolades. Layne was also the Executive Catering Director for Delicias Catering for five years, where he was in charge of all off-site events and special functions.

Today, Barry is proud to announce his own full-service catering company "Catering by Barry Layne."
